Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Beneglyph Group, LLC handles information associated with beneglyph.com and its website-related services and communications.
Effective Date: August 15, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
Beneglyph Group, LLC (“Beneglyph Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of visitors to beneglyph.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and safeguard information when you visit beneglyph.com (the “Website”) or interact with website-related features and communications that refer or link to this Privacy Policy.
Beneglyph Group, LLC is currently the entity responsible for the Website and the Website Services described in this Privacy Policy.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, an “Affiliate” means a current or future entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with Beneglyph Group, including a parent entity, subsidiary, or other entity under common control.
An Affiliate may support or later assume responsibility for a particular Website Service, transaction, engagement, or line of business as described in this Privacy Policy or an applicable notice or agreement. Affiliate status alone does not authorize every Affiliate to access or use information. Access and processing must remain reasonably connected to an authorized purpose, subject to applicable law and any governing agreement.
If a different legal entity becomes materially responsible for a Website Service or for the handling of associated personal information, the applicable Website notice, Privacy Policy, contact information, or agreement will be updated as reasonably appropriate and as required by applicable law.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, the “Website Services” include the Website and interactions made available through or arising from it, including when you:
- submit a General Contact or Strategic Inquiry;
- subscribe to, receive, or interact with Beneglyph email updates;
- communicate with Beneglyph Group, LLC by email, telephone, video conference, or other means using contact information or communication pathways provided through the Website; or
- otherwise provide information through a feature or service operated by Beneglyph Group, LLC in connection with the Website.
This Privacy Policy applies only to information handled by Beneglyph Group, LLC in connection with the Website and the Website Services. It does not govern the privacy practices of third-party websites, booksellers, retailers, social-media platforms, video-conferencing providers, email providers, or other external services that may be linked from, used with, or associated with the Website. Those third parties maintain their own privacy policies and practices.
Where a separate written agreement governs a particular relationship, engagement, or service involving Beneglyph Group, LLC, that agreement may contain additional or different provisions concerning the information involved in that relationship.
2. Information We Collect
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” means information that identifies you, relates to you, describes you, or can reasonably be linked to you. The information Beneglyph Group, LLC collects depends on how you use the Website and the Website Services.
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
We may collect information that you voluntarily provide to Beneglyph Group, LLC, including:
- Identity and contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, or other contact information you choose to provide.
- Professional or organizational information, such as the name of your organization, your title or professional role, and other business-related information relevant to your communication.
- Inquiry information, including whether you select General Contact or Strategic Inquiry, the content of your message, and information concerning the book, the beneglyphic framework, media, permissions, speaking, strategic advisory work, AI orientation, decision environments, organizational applications, or another matter you ask us to consider.
- Subscription information, such as your name, email address, consent to receive communications, communication preferences, and subscription or unsubscribe status.
- Age-eligibility, acknowledgment, and consent information, such as your confirmation that you are at least eighteen years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you; acknowledgment of the Privacy Policy; agreement to the Terms & Conditions; email consent where applicable; whether the applicable checkbox was selected; the form, policy, terms, and consent-language versions presented; the date and time of submission; and the associated inquiry or subscription status.
- Correspondence and meeting information, including the content of emails and other messages, scheduling information, and information you voluntarily share during telephone calls, video conferences, or other conversations arising through the Website Services.
- Documents and other materials that you choose to provide through email or another communication pathway after making contact through the Website.
- Commercial and engagement information, such as the services or professional relationship you wish to explore, proposed scope of work, pricing or fee discussions, engagement terms, contracts, electronic signatures, billing contacts, and other information associated with establishing, administering, or completing an engagement with Beneglyph Group, LLC.
- Billing and transaction information, such as your billing name and address, invoice information, amounts due or paid, payment dates, payment status, receipts, refunds, disputes, transaction or confirmation numbers, payment-related communications, and the general type of payment method used.
- Compliance and eligibility information, where reasonably necessary for a proposed transaction, payment, project, or engagement, such as information concerning identity, citizenship or nationality, residence or location, representative authority, organizational ownership or control, payment source or destination, intended recipient or beneficiary, end user, end use, and other information reasonably necessary to evaluate sanctions, restricted-party, export-control, fraud-prevention, banking, tax, security, or legal requirements.
When you make a payment through an approved method, a bank, financial institution, card processor, invoicing provider, electronic-payment service, or other payment provider may collect and process additional financial information.
If payment is made by check or another payment instrument supplied directly to Beneglyph Group, LLC, that instrument may contain account, routing, or other financial information necessary to process, reconcile, and document the payment.
Complete payment-card information, online-banking credentials, authentication codes, or similar access credentials should not be submitted through the Website’s public forms, ordinary email, telephone, or video conference. Such information should be entered only through a secure payment interface or provided through another secure payment method specifically designated by Beneglyph Group, LLC.
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not intend to record telephone calls or video conferences without providing appropriate notice and obtaining consent where required. If recording or automated transcription becomes part of our practices, this Privacy Policy and any applicable meeting notice will be updated accordingly.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Website, Beneglyph Group, LLC and its hosting, security, and technical service providers may automatically receive certain technical and usage information, including:
- your Internet Protocol address and an approximate location derived from it;
- browser type and version;
- device type, operating system, and related technical information;
- the date and time of access;
- pages and Website features used;
- referring and exit URLs;
- performance, error, and diagnostic information;
- form-submission metadata; and
- anti-spam, abuse-prevention, and security information.
This information may be collected through server logs, cookies, local storage, scripts, and similar technologies. The specific information collected depends on the hosting, security, analytics, form, and other technology actually enabled. Additional information concerning Website technologies, cookies, logs, security, verification, and anti-abuse services appears in Section 5.
2.3 Information Received Through Third-Party Services
Beneglyph Group, LLC may receive information through third-party services used in connection with the Website Services, including:
- email-subscription and communication providers, including subscription, delivery, engagement, preference, complaint, and unsubscribe information;
- scheduling and video-conferencing providers, including scheduling, attendance, account, and meeting metadata;
- form, email-routing, spam-prevention, security, and verification providers;
- identity-verification, fraud-prevention, sanctions-screening, restricted-party, export-control, or other compliance-support providers;
- invoicing, banking, payment, card-processing, transfer, refund, and dispute services;
- contract, document, electronic-signature, cloud-storage, and project-administration services; and
- third-party platforms through which you communicate with or about Beneglyph Group, LLC.
Depending on the payment method, information received may include the payer’s name, billing contact information, amount and date, transaction identifier and status, payment-method type, and limited account or card identifiers.
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not intend to obtain or retain online-banking passwords, authentication codes, payment-card security codes after authorization, or similar credentials entered directly into a provider’s systems.
External retailers, payment services, video-conferencing providers, and other third parties handle information under their own privacy policies. Beneglyph Group, LLC does not receive complete card or financial-account information merely because a visitor purchases a book through an external retailer or follows a link from the Website.
2.4 Information the Website Is Not Intended to Collect
The Website’s public forms are intended to begin a communication. They are not payment portals or secure repositories for highly sensitive personal, financial, or business information.
A paid product, service, or engagement may use an invoice, check, bank-supported transfer, domestic or international wire transfer, card-payment service, electronic-payment service, or another method specifically designated by Beneglyph Group, LLC.
Do not submit through a public Website form, ordinary email, telephone call, video conference, or another unsecured channel:
- Social Security numbers, tax-identification numbers, passport numbers, driver’s-license numbers, or other government identifiers;
- complete payment-card numbers, card-security codes, bank-account or routing information, online-banking credentials, passwords, or authentication codes;
- health, medical, or similarly sensitive personal information; or
- trade secrets, confidential or restricted information, controlled technical information, or highly sensitive business materials.
After reviewing an inquiry, Beneglyph Group, LLC may establish a safer communication method or address information handling through a separate written agreement.
If unrequested sensitive or inappropriate information is submitted, Beneglyph Group, LLC may delete it, return it, restrict access to it, or retain it only as reasonably necessary to respond, administer an authorized transaction or engagement, protect the Website or others, comply with law, or preserve legal rights.
3. How We Use Information
3.1 Operating the Website and Responding to You
Beneglyph Group, LLC may use information to:
- operate, maintain, support, and provide the Website and Website Services;
- receive, review, route, and respond to General Contact and Strategic Inquiry submissions;
- verify or clarify identity, contact information, organizational affiliation, or representative authority;
- provide information or materials you request;
- schedule telephone calls, video conferences, or other meetings;
- verify and administer age-eligibility confirmations, Privacy Policy acknowledgments, Terms & Conditions agreements, email consents, form acknowledgments, and related submission records;
- maintain records of communications and requests; and
- send administrative, technical, service, privacy, legal, or security communications.
3.2 Email Updates
We may use subscription information to:
- process and confirm a subscription request;
- send book and availability news, additions to Beneglyph.com, new public framework material, letters from Saul, launch notices, milestones, announcements, and related communications;
- administer communication preferences and subscription records;
- process unsubscribe requests and maintain suppression records;
- prevent fraudulent or abusive subscriptions; and
- evaluate delivery, opening, link-interaction, complaint, and similar information made available by the selected email provider.
Submitting a General Contact or Strategic Inquiry does not subscribe you to Receive Updates. The consent presented through the Receive Updates form controls whether you join that list.
3.3 Professional Relationships and Engagements
We may use information to:
- evaluate an inquiry, proposed project, advisory relationship, speaking request, permission request, media request, or other professional matter;
- discuss scope, timing, fees, payment methods, confidentiality, and engagement terms;
- prepare and administer proposals, agreements, confidentiality agreements, invoices, and related records;
- establish, perform, administer, modify, or conclude a professional relationship or engagement;
- coordinate participants, meetings, instructions, deliverables, and project communications;
- maintain prospect, client, vendor, contractor, collaborator, and authorized-representative records; and
- address questions, changes, cancellations, complaints, disagreements, or disputes.
3.4 Billing and Payments
We may use billing and transaction information to:
- create and send invoices or payment requests;
- receive, initiate, verify, process, deposit, reconcile, and document authorized payments or transfers;
- identify a payer, payee, sender, recipient, or beneficiary;
- administer deposits, installments, credits, refunds, chargebacks, returned payments, and disputes;
- provide receipts and maintain payment histories;
- perform accounting, tax, insurance, audit, and recordkeeping functions; and
- detect or address fraudulent, unauthorized, unusual, or mistaken activity.
Where a bank, card processor, payment service, or other financial provider collects credentials directly, Beneglyph Group, LLC generally receives transaction confirmations, status information, and limited payment-method information rather than complete access credentials.
3.5 Website Administration, Improvement, and Security
We may use technical and usage information to:
- understand Website usage, performance, errors, accessibility, and usability;
- determine whether pages, forms, or features function as intended;
- maintain backups, logs, business continuity, and recovery capabilities;
- authenticate or validate submissions and requests;
- detect, investigate, prevent, or respond to spam, bots, fraud, impersonation, malware, abuse, attacks, or security incidents; and
- protect the Website, Beneglyph Group, LLC, visitors, subscribers, clients, businesses, organizations, and others.
Any analytics or measurement technology must be reconciled with this Privacy Policy before or when it is activated.
3.6 Legal, Compliance, and Protection Purposes
We may use information to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, court order, subpoena, governmental request, contractual obligation, or professional requirement;
- evaluate and comply with applicable sanctions, restricted-party, export-control, deemed-export, prohibited end-user or end-use, banking, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and other legal or regulatory requirements;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal rights or claims;
- enforce applicable agreements and Website rules;
- protect rights, safety, security, property, systems, information, and operations; and
- investigate suspected unlawful, unauthorized, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.
3.7 Other Disclosed, Compatible, Requested, or Authorized Purposes
Beneglyph Group, LLC may use information for another purpose disclosed when the information is collected, for a purpose reasonably compatible with the circumstances in which it was provided, at your request or direction, or with your authorization.
Where reasonable and appropriate, information obtained through different Website Services may be combined to administer the relevant communication, subscription, transaction, professional relationship, security matter, or legal obligation.
4. How We Disclose Information
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not sell personal information or business or organizational information submitted through the Website Services. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may disclose personal information and business or organizational information only as described below, as otherwise disclosed when the information is collected, or at your direction or with your authorization.
4.1 Website, Technology, Communication, and Compliance Providers
We may disclose information to providers that perform functions on our behalf, including hosting, domain, content-delivery, backup, technical-support, form-processing, email-routing, mailing-list, spam-prevention, fraud-prevention, security, analytics, performance, error-diagnostic, scheduling, video-conferencing, cloud-storage, document-management, electronic-signature, identity-verification, sanctions-screening, restricted-party, export-control, and other compliance-support services.
The information disclosed depends on the function performed and may include contact information, submission content, subscription records, technical information, identifiers, communications, documents, meeting information, and other information reasonably necessary for the provider to perform the authorized service.
4.2 Payment, Invoicing, and Financial Providers
We may disclose information to banks, financial institutions, invoicing or accounts-receivable services, card processors, electronic-payment services, bank-transfer or wire-transfer services, check-processing services, accountants, and tax or financial advisers.
Information may include payer or payee identity, contact and billing information, invoice details, amount, date, transaction identifier, status, refund or dispute information, and limited payment-method information. Complete credentials entered directly into a provider’s secure interface are handled by that provider.
4.3 Affiliates, Professional Advisers, and Business Administration
We may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, bookkeepers, insurers, consultants, vendors, and other advisers or service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the business, obtain advice, administer an inquiry or agreement, maintain records, address a dispute, protect legal rights, or comply with an obligation.
Information may be disclosed to an Affiliate where reasonably necessary to operate, administer, secure, finance, support, restructure, transfer, or continue the Website, a Website Service, a transaction, an engagement, or an associated line of business.
An Affiliate may also receive information to perform authorized legal, accounting, compliance, security, technology, recordkeeping, management, or administrative functions.
Disclosure to an Affiliate does not authorize the sale of information, cross-context behavioral advertising, unrelated marketing, or another use inconsistent with this Privacy Policy, applicable law, or an applicable agreement.
4.4 Professional Engagements and Authorized Project Participants
Where reasonably necessary for an authorized project or engagement, information may be disclosed to contractors, consultants, collaborators, vendors, advisers, or other authorized participants. Such disclosures may be governed by an engagement agreement, confidentiality agreement, instructions, professional obligations, or other restrictions.
A preliminary inquiry does not constitute broad authorization to distribute confidential, proprietary, controlled, or restricted information. Do not submit such materials through a public Website form or ordinary email.
4.5 Legal, Safety, Security, and Rights Protection
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, court order, subpoena, governmental request, sanctions or export-control requirements, or another legal obligation; to investigate or prevent unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful conduct; to respond to a security incident; or to protect the rights, safety, security, property, systems, or operations of Beneglyph Group, LLC or others.
4.6 Business Transfers
Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, formation or use of a subsidiary, internal transfer among Affiliates, sale of assets or a line of business, assignment, change of control, dissolution, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.
A recipient or successor may use transferred information consistently with this Privacy Policy and the circumstances in which the information was collected. A materially different use will be subject to any notice, choice, consent, or other protection required by Section 13, an applicable agreement, or applicable law.
4.7 At Your Direction or With Your Authorization
We may disclose information at your direction, at the direction of an authorized representative, or with your consent or authorization.
4.8 Aggregated or Deidentified Information
We may disclose information that has been aggregated or deidentified so that it is not maintained in a form reasonably capable of identifying the person, business, organization, inquiry, or engagement from which it originated.
4.9 External Websites, Retailers, and Platforms
When you choose to interact directly with an external website, retailer, platform, payment service, meeting service, or other third party, that third party may collect information directly from you under its own privacy policy. Additional information appears in Section 11.
5. Website Technology, Cookies, Logs, and Anti-Abuse Services
5.1 Essential and Functional Technologies
The Website and its providers may use technologies reasonably necessary to display content, support navigation and forms, maintain accessibility and preferences, route inquiries, secure sessions, balance traffic, diagnose errors, and protect against malicious or abusive activity.
5.2 Server Logs and Technical Information
Hosting, security, and technical systems may create server or application logs containing information such as Internet Protocol address, date and time, requested page or resource, referring page, browser, device, operating system, status code, performance information, error information, and security events.
5.3 Forms, Verification, and Anti-Abuse Services
Website forms may use validation, hidden fields, honeypots, rate limits, cross-site-request-forgery protections, security challenges, spam detection, bot detection, or third-party verification services.
These measures may process information such as Internet Protocol address, device and browser information, the page and form used, timing and interaction information, network or security information, and challenge or verification results.
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not intend to use form-verification or anti-abuse information to create advertising profiles or conduct cross-context behavioral advertising. The identity and practices of any third-party verification provider will be reviewed and disclosed as appropriate before activation.
5.4 Analytics and Measurement
Beneglyph Group, LLC uses Google Analytics 4 ("Google Analytics"), a measurement service provided by Google, to understand Website traffic, referrals, navigation, broad device categories, approximate geographic region, and interactions with Website content and features.
When analytics consent is granted, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and may process information such as pages viewed, referring information, interaction and event data, general browser or device information, approximate geographic information, and pseudonymous identifiers used to distinguish browsers, users, or sessions. Google states that Analytics does not store or log individual Internet Protocol addresses.
Beneglyph Group, LLC has configured its Google Analytics property with Google signals disabled, user-provided data collection disabled, granular location and device data collection disabled, and ads personalization disallowed in all regions. Event-level and user-level data subject to the Google Analytics retention setting are retained for up to 14 months.
The Website uses a consent mechanism intended to prevent the Google Analytics tag from loading until analytics consent is granted. If analytics consent is not granted, the Website does not intentionally load the Google Analytics tag or set Google Analytics cookies through this implementation. Visitors may change or withdraw applicable analytics consent using the Website's available privacy controls.
For more information about Google's processing of information from websites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not currently intend to use advertising pixels, remarketing technologies, session-replay services, or heatmaps. This Privacy Policy and any required notice or control must be revised before adopting such technologies.
5.5 Embedded Content and External Media
The Website may display videos or other content hosted by a third party. An embedded service may receive information such as Internet Protocol address, device or browser information, the page displaying the content, cookie or identifier information, interaction information, and information associated with an account you maintain with that provider.
Where reasonably available, Beneglyph Group, LLC may use privacy-enhanced settings, delayed loading, or visitor controls to reduce unnecessary third-party collection.
5.6 Browser Controls, Cookies, and Local Storage
You may be able to block, limit, or delete cookies, local-storage items, scripts, or similar technologies through your browser or device settings. Restricting essential or functional technologies may affect the availability or operation of Website pages, forms, embedded content, or security measures.
If nonessential cookies or technologies are introduced that require notice, consent, or additional visitor controls, Beneglyph Group, LLC will implement the appropriate mechanism before or when those technologies become active.
5.7 Do Not Track and Browser-Based Privacy Signals
Some browsers and extensions transmit “Do Not Track” or other privacy-preference signals.
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not currently sell personal information or business or organizational information submitted through the Website Services. We also do not use or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Accordingly, the Website does not currently take separate action in response to a Do Not Track signal.
To the extent applicable law requires Beneglyph Group, LLC to recognize and honor a legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signal, we will do so as required.
6. Email Updates and Other Communications
6.1 Inquiry and Relationship Communications
When you contact Beneglyph Group, LLC or participate in a transaction or professional relationship, we may communicate with you to respond to questions, request clarification, schedule meetings, discuss proposals or agreements, send invoices or payment information, administer an engagement, provide administrative or security notices, comply with law, or address another matter connected with your request or relationship.
Submitting a General Contact or Strategic Inquiry does not subscribe you to Receive Updates.
6.2 Receive Updates
Beneglyph Group, LLC may send Receive Updates communications only to persons who have requested or authorized them through the applicable signup process. Communications may include book and availability news, additions to Beneglyph.com, public framework material, letters from Saul, launch notices, milestones, and announcements.
The subscription process may require an email address, age-of-majority confirmation, acknowledgment of the Privacy Policy, agreement to the Terms & Conditions, consent to receive communications, and confirmation or verification steps supported by the selected provider.
6.3 Email-Service Providers and Engagement Information
An email provider may process information such as email address, subscription source, consent record, delivery status, bounce information, complaint information, unsubscribe status, opening or link-interaction information, device information, and Internet Protocol address.
The selected provider, settings, tracking options, retention practices, and consent flow are reviewed as the Website and its services evolve. Where reasonably practicable, Beneglyph Group, LLC limits unnecessary measurement.
6.4 Unsubscribe Requests and Suppression Records
Receive Updates messages will include a clear method to unsubscribe. You may also contact Beneglyph Group, LLC concerning an unsubscribe request.
Requests will be processed promptly and within the period required by applicable law. Beneglyph Group, LLC or its provider may retain a limited suppression record—such as the email address, request date, and subscription status—to prevent future Receive Updates messages from being sent to that address.
Unsubscribing from Receive Updates does not prevent messages that are requested, transactional, administrative, security-related, connected to an inquiry or agreement, related to an invoice or payment, or legally required. Separate email addresses or separately authorized lists may require separate unsubscribe requests.
6.5 Accurate Sender Information and Mailing Address
Beneglyph Group, LLC intends to use accurate sender and subject information, include a valid physical postal address in applicable commercial email, and provide a clear unsubscribe method as required.
Website-generated messages may use authorized Beneglyph addresses, including:
- updates@beneglyph.com for mailing-list communications;
- contact@beneglyph.com for general correspondence and privacy matters;
- strategic@beneglyph.com for Strategic Inquiry communications; and
- website@beneglyph.com as an authorized technical sending address for Website-generated messages.
Deployment, authentication, routing, and sender configuration are maintained and reviewed as needed.
6.6 Mailing-List Information Is Not Sold or Rented
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not sell or rent mailing-list information, including addresses associated with individuals or representatives of businesses or organizations.
Mailing-list information may be disclosed to an authorized provider only as reasonably necessary to manage, authenticate, deliver, measure, troubleshoot, secure, or process unsubscribe requests for the communications, prevent abuse, or comply with law. It is not provided for the provider’s unrelated marketing.
6.7 Forwarding and Sharing Messages
If you forward or share a Beneglyph communication, the recipient may receive information contained in the message. Beneglyph Group, LLC does not control how a recipient uses a message that another person forwards outside the authorized email system.
6.8 Future Communication Channels
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not currently intend to treat the Receive Updates signup as consent to promotional text messages, automated calls, push notifications, or communications through unrelated platforms.
Before adding another promotional communication channel, Beneglyph Group, LLC will review consent requirements, collection and disclosure practices, opt-out methods, provider settings, recordkeeping, this Privacy Policy, and the affected signup language.
7. Data Retention and Disposal
Beneglyph Group, LLC retains personal information and business or organizational information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, support legitimate operations, satisfy legal or contractual obligations, administer agreements, address disputes, protect rights and security, and maintain appropriate business records.
Retention decisions may consider:
- the category, amount, and sensitivity of the information;
- the purposes for which it was collected or received;
- whether an inquiry, subscription, transaction, project, or professional relationship remains active;
- the risks associated with retaining or deleting the information;
- legal, tax, accounting, insurance, contract, audit, and recordkeeping requirements;
- fraud, abuse, duplicate-submission, and security-prevention needs;
- complaints, disputes, investigations, claims, or legal holds; and
- whether the information can instead be aggregated or deidentified.
7.1 Inquiries, Correspondence, and Meetings
Inquiry, correspondence, and meeting information may be retained while the matter is active and for a reasonable period afterward to respond, follow up, maintain records, identify repeated or related inquiries, evaluate a possible professional relationship, address requests or disputes, protect rights, and comply with law.
Inquiry records may include the age-eligibility confirmation, Privacy Policy acknowledgment, Terms & Conditions agreement, submission date and time, applicable form and legal-document versions, routing information, and related submission metadata.
When there is no ongoing relationship or legitimate need for the information, it may be deleted, destroyed, aggregated, or deidentified.
7.2 Email Updates and Suppression Records
Subscription information may be retained while a person remains subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward to document consent, administer delivery and preferences, investigate complaints or abuse, and comply with law.
Subscription records may include the age-eligibility confirmation, Privacy Policy acknowledgment, Terms & Conditions agreement, consent language and form versions presented, date and time of consent, subscription status, delivery and preference information, and unsubscribe or suppression history.
After an unsubscribe request, Beneglyph Group, LLC or its provider may retain the email address, request date, and status as a suppression record. That record is maintained to prevent continued Receive Updates messages, not to continue the subscription.
7.3 Professional Engagement and Business Records
Records concerning a proposed, active, or completed professional relationship may be retained for the duration of the relationship and for as long afterward as reasonably necessary for business, contractual, accounting, tax, audit, insurance, payment, dispute, and legal purposes.
These records may include proposals, agreements, confidentiality terms, instructions, deliverables, correspondence, billing and payment information, and other authorized project records.
Records may also include identity, authority, ownership, payment, sanctions, export-control, restricted-party, end-user, end-use, or other compliance-review information where reasonably necessary.
Specific retention schedules may be informed by applicable law and advice from legal, accounting, tax, insurance, or other professional advisers.
7.4 Technical, Security, and Anti-Abuse Information
Server logs, form metadata, verification results, and security information may be retained for periods reasonably necessary to operate and troubleshoot the Website, evaluate performance, prevent spam, detect bots or fraud, investigate incidents, enforce restrictions, protect systems and persons, and comply with law.
Retention depends on the hosting, security, and form providers in use. Where reasonably feasible, identifiable technical information will not be kept longer than needed for the applicable operational or security purpose.
7.5 Payment and Financial Records
Payment, invoice, check, wire-transfer, refund, dispute, and related records may be retained as reasonably necessary to process and reconcile transactions, maintain accounting and tax records, provide receipts, address refunds or disputes, complete audits, comply with law, and protect legal rights.
Banks and other financial providers maintain information under their own retention policies. Beneglyph Group, LLC does not control all provider retention and does not intend to retain credentials entered directly into a provider’s secure system.
7.6 Recordings and Transcripts
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not currently intend to record telephone calls or video conferences or create automated transcripts without appropriate notice and consent.
If recording or automated transcription is introduced, Beneglyph Group, LLC will establish and disclose an appropriate retention period or retention criteria and review consent, provider, security, access, and deletion practices before activation.
7.7 Service Providers, Archives, and Backups
Information maintained by a service provider may remain subject to the provider’s configured settings, contract terms, backup cycles, legal obligations, and deletion processes.
Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups, disaster-recovery systems, security archives, email systems, accounting records, or other systems after ordinary deletion. Such information may be inaccessible in ordinary use and may be overwritten, isolated, or deleted according to the applicable system’s normal cycle unless continued retention is required.
7.8 Legal Holds and Other Exceptions
Information may be retained beyond an ordinary period when reasonably necessary for litigation, a subpoena, regulatory inquiry, contractual dispute, chargeback, insurance matter, fraud investigation, security incident, legal hold, accounting or tax obligation, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal rights.
Continued retention should be reviewed when the reason for the exception ends.
7.9 Disposal and Deidentification
When information is no longer reasonably necessary and no exception requires its continued retention, Beneglyph Group, LLC may:
- delete or destroy it;
- direct a service provider to delete it;
- allow it to expire through an established retention schedule;
- aggregate it with other information; or
- deidentify it so that it can no longer reasonably be linked to a particular person, business, organization, inquiry, or engagement.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may retain and use aggregated or deidentified information for legitimate purposes, provided it is not maintained in a form reasonably capable of identifying the person, business, organization, inquiry, or engagement from which it originated.
8. Data Security
Beneglyph Group, LLC uses and intends to maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information it handles and the risks associated with its processing.
These safeguards are intended to help protect personal information and identifiable business, organizational, inquiry, engagement, and transaction information against unauthorized access, acquisition, use, alteration, disclosure, loss, destruction, or other misuse.
8.1 Security Measures
Depending on the information, system, and service involved, safeguards may include:
- limiting access to information to persons and service providers with a legitimate business need;
- using passwords, multifactor authentication, account-security controls, and other access restrictions where reasonably available;
- using encrypted connections and secure transmission methods where appropriate;
- maintaining software, plugins, applications, and systems with relevant updates and security patches;
- using spam prevention, form validation, rate limiting, verification services, firewalls, malware protection, logging, or other security controls;
- maintaining backups and recovery procedures appropriate to the Website and related business records;
- separating public Website functions from systems used to handle sensitive engagement, payment, or administrative information;
- reviewing the security and privacy practices of service providers where reasonably practicable;
- restricting the collection and retention of information that Beneglyph Group, LLC does not reasonably need; and
- securely deleting, destroying, aggregating, deidentifying, or otherwise disposing of information when continued retention is no longer reasonably necessary.
The safeguards used may change as the Website, Website Services, providers, business operations, and risks evolve.
8.2 Website and Account Security
Beneglyph Group, LLC may use security measures designed to protect:
- the Website and its hosting environment;
- domain, hosting, email, administrative, and service-provider accounts;
- inquiry and subscription forms;
- Website-generated email;
- stored communications and documents;
- billing, invoicing, and transaction records; and
- information associated with professional relationships or engagements.
Access to administrative systems and accounts may be restricted through passwords, multifactor authentication, user permissions, device controls, or other measures made available by the applicable provider.
The precise controls used depend on the Website architecture, hosting environment, service providers, and information systems in use.
8.3 Service Providers and External Systems
Beneglyph Group, LLC relies on banks, hosting companies, email providers, security services, payment services, video-conferencing providers, document services, and other third parties to perform certain functions.
Those providers maintain and control their own systems, personnel, security measures, retention practices, and incident-response processes. Beneglyph Group, LLC may review provider practices and configure available privacy and security settings, but it cannot guarantee the security of systems operated independently by third parties.
Information entered directly into an external provider’s secure interface is also subject to that provider’s privacy policy, terms, and security practices.
8.4 Payments and Financial Information
Payments to or from Beneglyph Group, LLC may be made only through an invoice, check, bank-supported transfer, domestic or international wire transfer, card-payment interface, electronic-payment service, or other payment pathway specifically designated or authorized by Beneglyph Group, LLC.
Payment instructions—including check-payee information, wire instructions, electronic-payment details, and any changes to previously supplied instructions—will be provided through an invoice, agreement, payment request, or other authorized communication from Beneglyph Group, LLC. Recipients should verify unusual, unexpected, or changed payment instructions through a previously established and trusted communication channel before sending funds.
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not intend to request complete payment-card information, online-banking credentials, authentication codes, or similar account-access credentials through the Website’s public forms, ordinary email, telephone calls, or video conferences.
Where a financial provider collects payment credentials directly, Beneglyph Group, LLC may receive only the transaction, confirmation, status, limited payment-method, and recordkeeping information reasonably necessary to administer the payment, transfer, refund, or other authorized transaction.
Checks and certain other payment instruments may contain account, routing, or other financial information. Such information will be handled only as reasonably necessary to process, deposit, reconcile, document, refund, dispute, or otherwise administer the applicable payment or transaction.
Wire transfers and other bank transfers may require information such as the sender’s or recipient’s name, financial institution, account or routing details, transaction amount, reference information, and transfer status. Beneglyph Group, LLC will use and disclose such information only as reasonably necessary to initiate, receive, verify, reconcile, document, investigate, or otherwise administer the authorized transfer.
8.5 Email, Telephone, and Video-Conference Limitations
Ordinary email, telephone calls, video conferences, and public Website forms may not provide an appropriate level of security for highly sensitive, confidential, restricted, or proprietary information.
Please do not transmit such information through those channels unless Beneglyph Group, LLC has specifically authorized the method and the parties have determined that it is appropriate for the information involved.
If sensitive information becomes necessary in connection with an inquiry or engagement, Beneglyph Group, LLC may designate another communication pathway, apply additional safeguards, or address information handling through a separate confidentiality or engagement agreement.
8.6 Your Role in Protecting Information
You can help protect information by:
- using only payment, document, meeting, and communication pathways designated by Beneglyph Group, LLC;
- verifying that messages and payment instructions actually originate from an authorized Beneglyph Group, LLC address or representative;
- avoiding the submission of passwords, authentication codes, complete card information, or other access credentials;
- keeping your own devices, accounts, passwords, and communication systems secure;
- limiting information submitted through public forms to what is reasonably necessary for the inquiry; and
- promptly notifying Beneglyph Group, LLC if you suspect that a communication, account, payment instruction, or information exchange has been compromised or impersonated.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may take reasonable steps to verify unusual requests, payment changes, identity claims, or other activity that presents a heightened risk of fraud or unauthorized access.
8.7 Security Incidents
If Beneglyph Group, LLC becomes aware of a suspected or confirmed security incident, it may take steps appropriate to the circumstances, including:
- investigating the nature and scope of the incident;
- securing or isolating affected systems or accounts;
- changing credentials or access permissions;
- preserving relevant evidence and records;
- working with hosting, email, security, financial, legal, insurance, or other service providers;
- determining what information, persons, businesses, organizations, inquiries, engagements, or transactions may have been affected;
- mitigating reasonably foreseeable harm;
- restoring affected services or information; and
- providing notice to affected parties, regulators, law-enforcement authorities, service providers, or others when required by applicable law or otherwise appropriate under the circumstances.
The timing and content of any notice will depend on the nature of the incident, the information involved, applicable legal requirements, the progress of the investigation, and legitimate security or law-enforcement considerations.
8.8 No Guarantee of Absolute Security
No website, electronic communication, storage system, payment system, or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Although Beneglyph Group, LLC takes reasonable measures intended to protect information, it cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, misuse, interception, or other security events will never occur.
You provide information electronically with an understanding of these inherent risks. This limitation does not reduce any duty or responsibility that Beneglyph Group, LLC may have under applicable law.
9. Privacy Choices and Requests
9.1 Updating Your Information
You may contact Beneglyph Group, LLC to request that inaccurate or outdated information associated with you, your business or organization, an inquiry, or an engagement be corrected or updated.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may ask for information reasonably necessary to identify the applicable record, verify the request, and determine that the person making the request is authorized to act concerning the information involved.
Updating information in one system may not automatically update information maintained independently by a bank, retailer, email provider, payment service, video-conferencing provider, or other third party.
9.2 Requests Concerning Information
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may request that Beneglyph Group, LLC:
- confirm whether it maintains personal information associated with you;
- provide access to or information about personal information it maintains;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information;
- provide a copy of certain information in a reasonably usable format;
- explain the categories of information collected, used, or disclosed;
- identify the categories of recipients to whom information has been disclosed; or
- honor another privacy right available under applicable law.
A representative of a business or organization may also request correction, access, deletion, or clarification concerning identifiable business or organizational information, inquiry records, or engagement information that the representative is authorized to address.
The inclusion of business, organizational, inquiry, or engagement requests in this section does not imply that every statutory consumer-privacy right applicable to a natural person also applies to a corporation, company, institution, or other legal entity. Beneglyph Group, LLC may nevertheless evaluate such requests as a matter of responsible information management, contractual obligation, or business practice.
9.3 Email and Communication Choices
You may unsubscribe from Receive Updates by using the unsubscribe method included in an applicable message or by contacting Beneglyph Group, LLC.
Unsubscribing from Receive Updates does not necessarily prevent communications that are:
- sent in response to a request you initiated;
- necessary to administer an inquiry, agreement, invoice, payment, or engagement;
- related to security, fraud prevention, or account administration;
- legally required; or
- separately requested or authorized by you.
Additional information concerning email preferences and suppression records appears in Sections 6 and 7.
9.4 Cookies and Similar Technologies
You may use browser or device settings to block, limit, or delete certain cookies, local-storage items, scripts, or similar technologies.
Restricting essential or functional technologies may affect the availability or operation of Website pages, forms, embedded content, security measures, or other features.
If Beneglyph Group, LLC later introduces nonessential technologies requiring notice, consent, opt-out functionality, or additional preference controls, the appropriate mechanism will be implemented before or when those technologies become active.
9.5 Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising Choices
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not currently sell personal information or business or organizational information submitted through the Website Services.
Beneglyph Group, LLC also does not currently use or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Accordingly, the Website does not presently provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.
If those practices change, Beneglyph Group, LLC will review and update the Website, this Privacy Policy, and any legally required notices, links, consent mechanisms, or opt-out controls before or when the changed practice becomes active.
9.6 Requests Concerning Sensitive Information
The Website’s public forms are not intended to collect sensitive personal, financial, authentication, health, government-identification, confidential business, or proprietary information, as explained in Section 2.
If Beneglyph Group, LLC nevertheless maintains information that is subject to a legally recognized right to limit its use or disclosure, Beneglyph Group, LLC will honor a valid request to the extent required by applicable law.
Requests concerning confidential business, organizational, inquiry, or engagement information may also be governed by an engagement agreement, confidentiality agreement, payment arrangement, legal obligation, or other applicable written agreement.
9.7 Verification of Requests
To protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion, Beneglyph Group, LLC may take reasonable steps to verify:
- the identity of the person making a request;
- the email address, telephone number, organization, inquiry, engagement, transaction, or other record associated with the request;
- the requester’s authority to act for another person, business, or organization; and
- the scope and authenticity of the request.
Beneglyph Group, LLC will seek only the information reasonably necessary to conduct the verification appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the requested information.
If a request cannot be reasonably verified, Beneglyph Group, LLC may deny or limit the request and explain the reason when required or appropriate.
9.8 Authorized Representatives
Where permitted by applicable law, you may authorize another person to submit a privacy request on your behalf.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may require reasonable evidence that the representative has authority to act for you, your business, or your organization. It may also contact you directly to confirm the authorization unless applicable law provides otherwise.
An attorney, officer, employee, agent, adviser, or other representative requesting information concerning a business, organization, inquiry, or engagement must possess appropriate authority to receive or direct the handling of that information.
9.9 Exceptions and Limitations
A request may be limited or denied when permitted by applicable law, including when information is reasonably necessary to:
- complete a transaction or perform an agreement;
- respond to or administer an inquiry or engagement;
- maintain accounting, tax, payment, insurance, audit, or other legally required records;
- detect, investigate, prevent, or respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful conduct;
- preserve evidence or comply with a legal hold;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal rights or claims;
- protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Beneglyph Group, LLC or others;
- comply with a court order, subpoena, regulation, or other legal obligation;
- maintain an unsubscribe or suppression record;
- preserve information that has been aggregated or deidentified; or
- retain information for another purpose permitted by applicable law.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may also be unable to fulfill a request concerning information controlled independently by a third-party provider. In that circumstance, the requester may need to contact the applicable provider directly.
9.10 Submitting a Privacy Request
Privacy questions and requests may be submitted to:

9.11 Responses, Appeals, and Nondiscrimination
Beneglyph Group, LLC will respond to a verified privacy request within the period required by applicable law, when such a period applies.
If additional time is permitted and reasonably necessary, the requester will be informed as required. If Beneglyph Group, LLC denies a request, it may provide the reason and information concerning any applicable appeal or complaint process.
Beneglyph Group, LLC will not unlawfully discriminate or retaliate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right.

10.3 Form-Level Age Confirmation and Legal Acknowledgment
The Receive Updates form and the shared General Contact and Strategic Inquiry form require an affirmative confirmation that the person submitting the form is at least eighteen years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to that person.
Each form uses one required, unchecked checkbox. The person submitting the form must also acknowledge that the person has read the Privacy Policy and agree to the Terms & Conditions. The Receive Updates checkbox additionally records consent to receive email communications.
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not request a date of birth or exact age through these forms for this purpose.
10.4 Communications Concerning a Minor
A parent, legal guardian, or other properly authorized adult may contact Beneglyph Group, LLC concerning a matter involving a minor.
The adult should provide only the information reasonably necessary to begin the communication and should not submit sensitive information concerning the minor through a public Website form or ordinary email.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may require:
- verification of the adult’s identity and authority;
- the involvement or consent of a parent or legal guardian;
- a more appropriate communication pathway;
- limitations on the information collected or disclosed; or
- a separate written agreement addressing the matter.
10.5 Information Submitted by an Ineligible Individual
If Beneglyph Group, LLC learns that an individual who did not satisfy the eligibility or legal-capacity requirements stated in this section submitted information through an interactive Website Service, it may take reasonable steps to:
- stop or restrict further communication;

If the information concerns a child under thirteen, Beneglyph Group, LLC will address the information in accordance with any applicable requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and related law.
10.6 No Sale or Sharing of Minors’ Information
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not sell personal information or use or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, including information associated with minors.
The Website does not currently provide registered-user accounts or features through which visitors may publicly post content.
10.7 Future Services Involving Minors
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not currently intend to offer Website Services directed to minors.
Before introducing an educational program, event, account, submission process, interactive feature, or other service intended for or likely to collect information from minors, Beneglyph Group, LLC will review and implement any required:

11. Third-Party Websites, Services, and Embedded Content
11.1 Scope of This Section
The Website may contain links to, display content from, or facilitate interactions with websites, platforms, applications, and services operated independently by third parties.
These may include:
- booksellers and retailers;
- video and media platforms;
- social-media platforms;
- banks, payment processors, and electronic-payment services;
- scheduling and video-conferencing services;
- email-subscription and communication providers;
- document-management and electronic-signature services;
- search engines and other information services; and
- other external websites or services relevant to Beneglyph Group, LLC, its publications, or its activities.
This section principally addresses information you provide directly to, or that may be collected independently by, those third parties. Information disclosed by Beneglyph Group, LLC to service providers acting on its behalf is addressed principally in Sections 4 and 5.
11.2 External Links
When you select a link that leads away from the Website, the external website or service may collect information directly from you or automatically from your device.
That information may include:
- personal information;
- business or organizational information;
- account or profile information;
- purchase and payment information;
- communications or submissions;
- Internet Protocol address and device information;
- cookies, identifiers, and usage information; and
- information associated with an account you maintain with that third party.
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not control the information practices, security measures, accessibility, content, availability, or terms of independently operated third-party websites and services.
You should review the applicable third party’s privacy policy and terms before providing information, creating an account, making a purchase, authorizing payment, or otherwise interacting with that service.
11.3 Booksellers, Retailers, and Purchases
The Website may link to third-party booksellers, retailers, distributors, or marketplaces through which Beneglyph publications or related products may be purchased.
When you make a purchase from an external retailer:
- the transaction is conducted with that retailer or marketplace;
- the retailer may collect your identity, contact, shipping, billing, payment, account, and purchase information;
- the retailer determines which payment methods it accepts;
- the retailer administers its own ordering, fulfillment, delivery, cancellation, return, refund, and customer-service processes; and
- the retailer handles information under its own privacy policy and terms.
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not receive complete payment-card or financial-account credentials merely because a visitor follows a Website link and purchases through an external retailer.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may receive limited sales, royalty, distribution, inventory, or aggregate reporting information through its publishing or retail relationships. The information received will depend on the applicable provider, agreement, and reporting system.
11.4 Embedded Videos and Other Third-Party Content
The Website may display videos, media players, maps, documents, social content, or other material hosted by a third party.
Embedded content may allow the third party to receive technical or usage information when:
- the page containing the content loads;
- the visitor selects or interacts with the content;
- the visitor is signed into an account maintained by that third party; or
- cookies, local storage, scripts, or similar technologies are permitted by the visitor’s browser or device.
Information potentially received by the third party may include the visitor’s Internet Protocol address, browser and device information, the Website page displaying the content, interaction information, identifiers, and information associated with the visitor’s third-party account.
Additional information concerning embedded-content technologies appears in Section 5.
Where reasonably available and appropriate, Beneglyph Group, LLC may use privacy-enhanced settings, delayed loading, visitor controls, or other measures intended to reduce unnecessary third-party collection.
11.5 Social-Media and Public Platforms
Beneglyph Group, LLC may maintain or later establish accounts, profiles, pages, channels, or other presences on social-media, video, publishing, or public-discussion platforms.
When you communicate with Beneglyph Group, LLC through such a platform, the platform may independently collect and process:
- your account name and profile information;
- the content of your message, comment, reaction, or other interaction;
- public and nonpublic account activity;
- device, location, cookie, and usage information; and
- other information governed by the platform’s settings, privacy policy, and terms.
Information you post publicly may be visible, copied, indexed, archived, redistributed, or used by other persons or services beyond the control of Beneglyph Group, LLC.
Do not post confidential, proprietary, financial, authentication, or other sensitive personal, business, organizational, inquiry, or engagement information through a public comment, post, reply, or similar public feature.
11.6 Scheduling, Meetings, Documents, and Payments
If you use an external scheduling, video-conferencing, document, electronic-signature, invoicing, banking, or payment service in connection with Beneglyph Group, LLC, the provider may collect information directly from you.
Depending on the service, this information may include:

- documents, signatures, approvals, and audit records;
- invoice, billing, payment, transfer, and transaction information;

Information entered directly into the third party’s interface is subject to that provider’s privacy, security, retention, and contractual practices.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may receive information from the provider as described in Sections 2 and 4.
11.7 Services Selected or Required by Another Party
A visitor, client, business, organization, adviser, or other authorized participant may request or require the use of a particular external platform or service.
Before using such a service, the participants should consider whether it is appropriate for the nature and sensitivity of the information involved.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may:
- decline to use a requested service;
- require a different communication or document pathway;
- limit the information exchanged through the service;
- request confirmation of authority or consent;
- require additional contractual or confidentiality protections; or
- adopt other reasonable safeguards.
Use of a third-party service selected by another participant does not transfer control of that provider’s independent privacy or security practices to Beneglyph Group, LLC.
11.8 Third-Party Policies and Changes
Third parties may change their services, privacy policies, terms, tracking practices, security measures, or data-handling procedures independently and without control by Beneglyph Group, LLC.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may periodically review third-party services that are materially connected to the Website or Website Services. It may modify, replace, restrict, or discontinue a link, embed, integration, or provider when appropriate.
The continued availability of an external link or service does not guarantee that Beneglyph Group, LLC has reviewed or approved every current practice of the third party.
11.9 No Automatic Endorsement
A link to, reference to, or integration with a third-party website, retailer, platform, product, organization, person, or service does not by itself constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, agency relationship, or guarantee by Beneglyph Group, LLC.
Any endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship, paid relationship, or other material connection will be identified where disclosure is required or appropriate.
11.10 Questions or Problems Involving a Third Party
Questions concerning a third party’s collection, use, disclosure, retention, security, account administration, purchases, payments, or other practices should ordinarily be directed to that third party.
You may also contact Beneglyph Group, LLC if:
- a Website link appears broken, misleading, or unsafe;
- an embedded service behaves unexpectedly;
- you believe information was improperly transmitted through a Website integration;
- a third party appears to be impersonating Beneglyph Group, LLC; or
- another issue may require review by Beneglyph Group, LLC.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may investigate matters within its reasonable control, modify the Website, contact the provider, preserve relevant records, or take other appropriate action.
12. International Visitors and Cross-Border Processing
12.1 Website Operation
Beneglyph Group, LLC is organized in the United States, and the Website is operated from the United States.
The Website provides public information that may be viewed from many locations. It is not currently designed or operated as a localized service for any particular country or jurisdiction outside the United States.
12.2 Processing in the United States and Other Locations
Information submitted through or associated with the Website Services may be collected, accessed, stored, processed, or retained in the United States.
Information may also be processed in another country when a hosting provider, email provider, security provider, video-conferencing service, payment service, cloud-service provider, contractor, or other authorized service provider operates systems or personnel there.
The privacy, data-protection, and government-access laws of the United States or another processing location may differ from those applicable where the person, business, or organization providing the information is located.
12.3 Information Submitted From Outside the United States
A person or authorized representative accessing the Website from outside the United States should provide only information that the person is lawfully permitted and appropriately authorized to submit.
A representative submitting business, organizational, inquiry, engagement, or transaction information is responsible for determining whether the submission is permitted by:
- the representative’s authority;
- the applicable organization’s policies;
- any confidentiality or contractual obligations;
- applicable privacy and data-protection laws; and
- any restrictions governing international disclosure or transfer.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may decline, restrict, return, delete, isolate, or require a different method for information that appears inappropriate for submission through the Website or ordinary communication channels.
12.4 Privacy Rights Under Non-U.S. Law
Depending on a person’s location, the nature of the interaction, and the scope of applicable law, privacy or data-protection rights may exist in addition to those described in Section 9.
Where a non-U.S. privacy or data-protection law applies to Beneglyph Group, LLC’s handling of personal information, Beneglyph Group, LLC will honor valid rights and obligations to the extent required by that law.
Those rights may include, depending on the applicable jurisdiction:
- access to personal information;
- correction of inaccurate information;
- deletion or erasure;
- restriction of certain processing;
- objection to certain processing;
- receipt or transfer of certain information;
- withdrawal of consent where processing depends on consent;
- information concerning international transfers; and
- the right to complain to an applicable data-protection authority.
These statutory rights generally concern natural persons. Requests involving identifiable business, organizational, inquiry, or engagement information may nevertheless be considered under the responsible information-management practices, contractual obligations, and procedures described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.
12.5 International Transfer Safeguards
If applicable law requires a particular safeguard before personal information may be transferred to or accessed from another country, Beneglyph Group, LLC will evaluate and implement an appropriate lawful mechanism.
Depending on the circumstances, such a mechanism may include:
- a legally recognized adequacy determination;
- approved contractual protections;
- a provider’s participation in a recognized data-transfer framework;
- an applicable statutory exception or derogation;
- informed consent where legally sufficient and appropriate; or
- another transfer mechanism recognized by applicable law.
The appropriate mechanism will depend on the countries involved, the nature of the information, the parties’ roles, the service providers used, and the law applicable to the processing.
12.6 Sanctions, Export Controls, and Eligibility for Services
Access to public information on the Website does not establish that Beneglyph Group, LLC may lawfully enter into a transaction, professional relationship, or engagement with every visitor, person, business, or organization.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may review a proposed inquiry, transaction, payment, project, or engagement for compliance with applicable:
- economic and trade sanctions;
- restricted-party and blocked-person rules;
- export-control and deemed-export requirements;
- prohibited end-user, end-use, or destination restrictions;
- anti-money-laundering, fraud-prevention, and financial-institution requirements;
- tax, payment, banking, and recordkeeping obligations;
- contractual, confidentiality, and information-security requirements; and
- other applicable federal, state, local, or international laws.
Physical presence in the United States does not by itself establish eligibility for a transaction or engagement. Citizenship, nationality, residence, organizational ownership, location, payment source, intended recipient, end use, and the nature of the information or services involved may each be relevant when required by applicable law or reasonably necessary for compliance review.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may request information reasonably necessary to verify:
- the identity of a person or organization;
- the authority of a representative;
- the ownership or control of an organization;
- the source, destination, or purpose of a payment;
- the intended recipient or beneficiary of services;
- the location and intended use of information, technology, deliverables, or services; and
- whether a license, authorization, restriction, or other compliance measure applies.
Beneglyph Group, LLC may decline, suspend, restrict, or terminate an inquiry, transaction, payment, communication, or engagement when it reasonably determines that proceeding may:
- violate applicable law;
- involve a blocked, sanctioned, restricted, or prohibited party;
- require a governmental license or authorization that has not been obtained;
- involve a prohibited destination, end user, or end use;
- expose controlled technology, source code, technical data, or other restricted information without appropriate authorization;
- present unresolved identity, ownership, payment, fraud, security, or compliance concerns; or
- otherwise create an unacceptable legal or operational risk.
Beneglyph Group, LLC does not exclude a person or organization solely because the person is not a United States citizen or because the organization is foreign-owned or located outside the United States. Any restriction or refusal will be based on applicable law, legitimate compliance requirements, the nature of the proposed relationship, or another lawful business reason.
12.7 International Professional and Organizational Relationships
Before entering into a professional relationship involving a person, business, organization, or project outside the United States—or involving a foreign person, foreign organization, controlled technology, international payment, or cross-border information flow—Beneglyph Group, LLC may review:
- the jurisdictions involved;
- the identity, ownership, control, and authority of the parties;
- applicable sanctions, restricted-party, and export-control requirements;
- the intended end user and end use;
- the categories and sensitivity of information expected to be exchanged;
- confidentiality and professional obligations;
- service-provider and storage locations;
- cross-border transfer requirements;
- payment, tax, sanctions, export-control, and recordkeeping considerations; and
- whether additional contractual, privacy, security, licensing, or consent measures are appropriate.
An engagement agreement, confidentiality agreement, data-processing agreement, export-control provision, certification, or other written arrangement may contain provisions supplementing this Privacy Policy.
12.8 Future International Expansion or Targeting
Before materially directing Website Services, advertising, subscriptions, transactions, professional offerings, localized content, or other activities toward a particular country or region outside the United States, Beneglyph Group, LLC will review the applicable legal and operational requirements.
That review may require:
- localized privacy notices;
- cookie or tracking-consent controls;
- additional privacy rights and request procedures;
- lawful-processing disclosures;
- international-transfer safeguards;
- sanctions or restricted-party screening;
- export-control review;
- a local or regional representative;
- revised contractual terms;
- changes to providers or information flows; or
- other technical, administrative, or legal measures.
Beneglyph Group, LLC will update this Privacy Policy and the affected Website features before or when such measures become necessary.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
13.1 Policy Updates
Beneglyph Group, LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:
- the Website or Website Services;
- information-collection, use, disclosure, retention, or security practices;
- forms, communications, subscriptions, payments, or professional-engagement processes;
- hosting, email, analytics, security, payment, meeting, document, or other service providers;
- applicable laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, or legal obligations;
- organizational or operational practices; or
- changes in ownership, corporate structure, Affiliates, the Website operator, or the entity responsible for a Website Service or information practice;
- other circumstances affecting the accuracy or completeness of this Privacy Policy.
The initial Privacy Policy and each revised version will identify an Effective Date. A revised version may also identify a Last Updated date.
13.2 Notice of Material Changes
When changes are material, Beneglyph Group, LLC may provide notice through one or more appropriate methods, such as:
- posting a prominent notice on the Website;
- displaying a notice on the Privacy Policy page;
- providing notice through an affected Website form or service;
- sending an email to subscribers or other persons whose information or relationship is materially affected;
- providing notice through an agreement, invoice, project communication, or other direct communication; or
- using another method required or appropriate under the circumstances.
A material change in the identity of the entity responsible for a Website Service or associated personal-information practice may be communicated through an updated Privacy Policy, a prominent Website notice, a form-level notice, direct communication where appropriate, or another method suited to the circumstances and applicable law.
The form and timing of notice will depend on the nature of the change, the information involved, the persons or organizations affected, and applicable legal requirements.
Beneglyph Group, LLC is not required to send an individual notice concerning every administrative, stylistic, clarifying, or nonmaterial revision unless applicable law or an agreement requires otherwise.
13.3 Materially Different Uses of Previously Collected Information
Beneglyph Group, LLC will not use personal information previously collected under this Privacy Policy for a materially different purpose without first providing any notice, choice, consent, or other protection required by applicable law.
Where appropriate, similar notice or authorization may also be provided before identifiable business, organizational, inquiry, engagement, or transaction information is used for a materially different purpose inconsistent with the circumstances in which it was provided.
A revised Privacy Policy alone will not be treated as a substitute for affirmative consent when applicable law requires specific consent.
13.4 Effective Date of Changes
Unless otherwise stated, a revised Privacy Policy becomes effective on the date identified in the revised version.
Changes ordinarily apply prospectively to information handled on or after the stated effective date. Certain provisions may also apply to previously collected information when:
- the change clarifies an existing practice;
- the information continues to be retained or processed;
- application to existing information is permitted by law;
